Overview
This exclusive 4-day adventure takes you deep into the Sacred Valley and into the far-flung backside of Machu Picchu, away from the main tourist crowds. Starting with a gentle bike ride through the rolling hills of the Sacred Valley, you’ll explore the fascinating Inca sites of Chinchero and Moray before spending the night in the charming village of Ollantaytambo. The journey then ascends dramatically over the 14,000-foot Abra Malaga pass and descends into the lush, warm jungle on the hidden backside of Machu Picchu, where you’ll hike ancient Inca trails through cacao farms, coffee plantations, and fruit orchards, soak in natural hot springs, and experience the raw, authentic beauty of the region. Capping off this intimate journey, you’ll enjoy a magical sunrise visit to the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu itself in the peaceful early morning light, before returning to Cusco with memories of a truly unique and mostly crowd-free Peruvian experience.
