This employment opportunity can begin immediately.  

Most travelers coming to Cusco are on the way to Machu Picchu.  Some will go by train and others will hike.  We're looking for someone who likes to be on the go helping travelers achieve their goals. That means everything from meeting and greeting our clients, to going to the city government offices to buy permits and tickets.  As well as sitting on a computer where we track all our itineraries and tours.  That's why it's called "active" administrative assistant.  This job requires working under the direct supervision of Vidal Jaquehua, Adios Adventure Travel co-founder in Cusco.

Job Opening: Active Administrative Assistant - Entry Level

Job requirements:

  • Live in Cusco, Peru 
  • Speak and write fluent English and Spanish (with good grammar)
  • Be computer and technology literate
  • Own a smart phone and laptop with local service
  • Have knowledge of local area and how to get around
  • Valid driver's license (a plus)
  • Legal residency in Peru 

Job description:

  • Part-time flexible hours
  • Must be familiar with local means of travel (collectivos)
  • Meet clients at airports and hotels
  • Lift heavy bags and luggage
  • Run errands and deliveries
  • Update company records and itineraries online
  • Make reservations
  • Purchase entry tickets and hiking permits
  • Protect privacy and handle sensitive documents of travelers

Qualified candidates should possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Have ability to solve problems
  • Be able to communicate with local staff and US office
