Requirements to get a visa to enter Peru:

Adios Adventure Travel can provide on request, an official itinerary document for any of our groups who need to apply for a visa.

It's an unbelievable and heartbreaking scenario.  You and your family arrive at the airport.  All set to go to Machu Picchu.  Hotels, trains and entry tickets are all confirmed.  As you check in for your flight to Lima, Peru, the agent informs you that an entry visa is required for the member of your family who is carrying a passport from a country other than the US.  A country whose citizens are required to obtain a tourist visa in advance of their trip to Peru.

The only option at this time is to decide if anyone else in the family wants to stay behind in solidarity with the one person who cannot board the flight.  It is not possible to get a visa upon entry in Lima.  The ONLY option is to get a visa in advance.  It takes 4-5 business days or more.  The airline will not allow anyone without proper documents to board their flight.  And he/she will likely not be able to get the visa quickly enough to join the group.

With proper planning, this can be avoided.  We welcome questions at any time.  While it is the responsibility of the traveler to obtain the required documents, Adios Adventure Travel staff will assist in any way possible.
