Many people are not aware of the abundance of nature and naturally occuring geographical and cultural features in Bolivia. Have you heard of Uyuni Salt Flats? This is just one of the reasons to visit and explore this amazing little country tucked up behind Lake Titicaca.

Bolivia has great secrets The salt flats are 4000+ square miles of hard, crusty salt from a prehistorical lake, adjoining a remote desert, located at an altitude of 12,500 ft in the crest of the Andes Mountains south of La Paz. Did you know that Bolivia also has destinations that include the Amazon jungle? And space. Lots of wide open space. Now that I've explored Lake Titicaca from both the Peruvian and the Bolivian side, I have to be honest. The Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca has a charm to it that is missing on the Peru side. Not that the Peru side is bad. But each country offers a different experience. Bolivia is like no other place on earth, which makes it a legendary destination for photographers and adventure travelers.

Perhaps my favorite place is the remote Necropolis. This is an amazing cemetery of an ancient pre-Inca people who utilized naturally occuring coral bubbles to bury their dead. The remains of which are still there! It's not easy to get to. But we know how to do it!

The trick to traveling in Bolivia is to figure out how to access these areas safely and in reasonable comfort. That's why we go there. That's our job. After searching for tour operators, I found a guy who seems to be a one man operation. He's a good match for Adios Adventure Travel, because he does everything himself, like we do.
